Full Job Description

The Role: The Formulation Pharmacist will be responsible for the management and development of formulations used at Target Healthcare Luton specials manufacturing facility. Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop new product formulations using existing pharmaceutical and technical knowledge, in addition to available resources.
  • Conduct literature searches for formulation rationale during product development.
  • Manage customer product enquiries, ensuring prompt response and relay of accurate information to the customer service department.
  • Manage formulation related aspects of the QMS.
  • Manage formulation standard operating procedures ensuring these are reviewed regularly and practical for use.
  • Ensure that information provided in relation to products are formulation based and not clinical. All non-formulation based information must be referred to other healthcare professional i.e. GP or pharmacist placing the order.
  • Liaise with the Quality Assurance department to perform formulation-related deviation investigations, customer complaints, change controls and implementation of CAPAs.
Skills and Attributes Required:
  • Masters in Pharmacy.
  • UK registered pharmacist preferred but not essential.
  • Minimum of 6 months experience in pharmaceutical industry.
  • GMP knowledge and experience preferred.
  • Strong literacy, written and numerical skills essential.
  • Good IT skills.
  • Ability to work independently using own initiative and collaberatively as part of a team.
  • Good planning and organization skills.
  • Ability to work in fast paced environment.
  • Ability to cope with pressure.
  • Ability to cope with change.
