Redwings Veterinary Team Is Growing! This Is A New Post To Continue To Improve Our Veterinary Care And Work/Life Balance Equine Veterinary Surgeon (EVS) Based South of Norwich – with travel to Redwings sites Full Time Permanent Position Salary £27,500 to £35,000 per annum (depending on experience) (plus car/car allowance, company mobile phone, RCVS fees, BEVA membership, and relevant CPD) 37.50 hour week – flexible working may be required 08.30 am – 16.30 pm Monday to Friday plus on-call Weekend rota 1:6 or better This varied role provides in-house veterinary care for our 1,500 resident equines as part of our team of veterinary surgeons, qualified nurses, and nursing assistants. Our veterinary unit is well equipped and allows for surgical and intensive medical care of patients. There is a strong support network with mentorship and opportunities to discuss and work through cases with colleagues every day. This is a job where you will never feel out of your depth. And you can follow your cases every step of the way from first presentation onwards. Some of our equines may be unhandled or have significant behavioural problems. Redwings is very proud of the care we can provide for these horses and you will have the full support of our in-house behavioural and handling teams day and night. On call cover for our resident population is required, weekend rota 1:6 or better All call-outs are accompanied by a member of our experienced nursing team whether it is day, night or the weekend. Full back up from fellow veterinary surgeons is available 24/7 both via phone and in person – this support is always cheerfully given – pizza included. Full, clean, manual driving licence essential.
