What you’ll do

£2,000 Welcome Bonus – exclusions apply
Role: Full time Domiciliary Optical Assistant
Area: Specsavers Bedford Home Visits 
Working Hours: Full time – Monday through to Friday 8.30am to 5.30pm (flexibility required)
Salary: £19,000  – £22,000 per annum depending on experience 
Benefits: Company car or car allowance / Performance related bonus

 

As a Domiciliary Optical Assistant, you’ll ensure the delivery of a high, quality professional services to patients in their own homes and in some care home settings. You must have high standards of dispensing and customer care, in short, you will make sure every customer gets a great experience with us. You will assist in clinics as well as driving around doing deliveries and fittings.

Through effective communication with elderly and vulnerable adults, you will demonstrate a positive and professional manner which will be enhances with patience, respect, dignity, and empathy, both oral and written. 
You will learn how to conduct pre-testing and to dispense products to customers, this includes Single Vision, Bi-focal and Varifocals 
With training you will gain the confidence to carry out minor repairs and adjustments whilst on site. 
Through training you will learn how to complete the NHS GOS by eGOS or forms and have a sound understanding of the voucher values.
