Full Job Description

Vision Care at Home is a leading domiciliary eye care provider with branches in Glasgow, Manchester, Doncaster, Newcastle and Birmingham. We are a dynamic company looking to appoint a committed and driven Optical Assistant for our Birmingham branch. An integral part of the test team, the Optical Assistant role is split between working alongside the Optometrist during clinic days and individually on delivery days. On clinic test days the Optical Assistant is expected to lead the team, ensuring the best level of service is delivered at all times and using expertise and knowledge to provide patients with highest level of care. Through a mix of clinics and delivery days, you will have direct contact with Vision Care at Home’s customers. Professionalism, flexibility and excellent communication skills are of paramount importance. Generous bonus scheme available and company car also included. To be considered for this role you should be able to meet the following criteria: Adaptable to care home environment Customer service experience Excellent interpersonal skills Team player Empathetic approach to clients Confident driver FULL CLEAN DRIVING LICENCE IS REQUIRED Although based at our Birmingham branch, you will spend the majority of your time in care homes across the Midlands area. Optical and domiciliary experience is not essential although would be an advantage.
