DENTISTRY AND MAXILLOFACIAL SURGERY REGISTERED VETERINARY NURSE

Your role and responsibilities Southfields Veterinary Specialists are recruiting for a talented Registered Veterinary Nurse (RVN) to support our existing teams in providing exceptional care to patients visiting our Dentistry and Maxillofacial Surgery service. You will see an exciting and varied referral and emergency caseload, allowing you to work within an exceptional team and develop your career working alongside our Dentistry and Maxillofacial Surgery Service Team Leader, José C. Almansa Ruiz, DVM (Hons) MSc (Vet) Dipl. EVDC MRCVS. This is a rewarding and challenging role that will require teamwork and dedication to the service and its patients. As an exciting addition to Southfields in January 2021, our Dentistry and Maxillofacial service are looking for a proactive, dedicated, and knowledgeable RVN to support its continued growth. With the ability to provide a broad range of procedures and dental care, including, but not limited to, orthodontics, prosthodontics, craniomaxillofacial fractures, palatal surgery, and reconstruction, you will be required to work alongside José to establish, implement and evolve working processes as we prepare to move to a 42,000 sq.ft. state-of-the-art, purpose-built premises. The extensive on-site diagnostic imaging facilities at Southfields ensure rapid interpretation, diagnosis and treatment of all pets referred to our team for treatment relating to dentistry and maxillofacial conditions. You will use your knowledge and experience to support patients requiring investigations and treatment for a wide range of conditions. You will be required to liaise with all disciplines to facilitate gold standard patient care through effective communication from the point of admit through to discharge. Referral experience is not essential as full training and support will be provided. Hours: 2 days per week (16 hours) Full-time applications are happily received with additional working days allocated to either our Multidisciplinary nursing team or as a discipline-specific role as a Dermatology RVN. You need to be a highly motivated self-starter with:

You must fulfil the following requirements:
  • Registered Veterinary Nurse (RVN) with a minimum of 1-year post-registration experience
  • Have experience working with patients receiving dental care and/or oral surgery
  • Have an excellent command of written and spoken English.
  • Maintain a professional and caring approach in all aspects of your work.
  • Provide evidence of your Right to Work in the UK.
Relevant further qualification(s) would be advantageous but are not essential as full training will be given. Benefits
