Dental Receptionist – £13 an hour depending on experience
We have 2 surgeries serving NHS and private patients. Ivy House clinic is based in Camden Town and Petts Hill is located in Northolt. This role will be mainly based in Camden Town however occasional visit to Northolt might be necessary at times.
We are seeking an experienced Dental Receptionist on a full time basis to join our friendly team.
- Full time – Monday-Friday (with Saturdays ideally)
- Part-time – Monday, Thursdays & Fridays
- Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage a varied workload
- Previous experience of working in a Dental Practice environment is highly desirable for this position, ideally with experience of SOE software
- Results driven, with excellent attention to detail and a positive and friendly personality
- You must be comfortable with being the first point of contact to our patients, and be able to support with driving referrals from existing patients
- Provide a warm and polite welcome to all patients
- Handle all enquires via phone, email and face to face in a professional manner
- Deliver a high-quality and efficient reception service to the clinic
- Diary management, scheduling and rescheduling patient appointments
- Setting up recalls for dental appointments
- Taking payments and logging card and cash patients correctly
- Emailing patient invoices, completing
- Debt collecting/chasing when necessary
- Formatting and emailing referral letters and x-rays/scans to external clinicians
- Help manage office and stock supplies
- Office duties including document filing, scanning, copying, and shredding.
- Tracking lab work incoming and outgoing
- Cashing up and closing up the reception and the building securely at the end of day
- Any other duties which may be requested by the practice owner or practice manager from time to time
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Previous customer service or receptionist experience
- Active listening and understanding patient’s needs
- Good attention to detail, organisational and problem solving skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, busy work environment and to stay calm under pressure
- IT Literate
- Ability to work individually as well as a part of a team
- Have experience using SOE/ Exact/ iComply (beneficial but not essential)
