Job summary
Receptionist in Community Dental Services based at St Leonards Dental Practice in Inner North East London (INEL). We are seeking to appoint someone who is passionate about delivering a high-quality standard of care to our patients across London borough of Hackney, Tower Hamlets and Newham.
The range of services includes Sedation, Special Care Dentistry, Paediatric Dentistry, Domiciliary care, Bariatric and Dental Mobile service (Homeless/Medium secure unit)
You will need to be able to work in a very busy environment whilst remaining calm and be able to demonstrate a good understand of and commitment to delivering excellent standards of care.
You will have a responsibility to provide administrative and reception tasks for a special care group of patients in community setting. Whilst the post will be based at an agreed clinic the role is peripatetic and will involve covering at all dental sites in INEL.
Successful applicants are required to have the skill level specified in the person specification in order to carry out the job, however, we do welcome applicants from individuals wishing to further their knowledge and skills and to gain this recognized qualification, which we will support. So, if you do not have the essential skills for the role, this may not be an automatic barrier to you being offered an interview.
Main duties of the job
Your main duties will be to:
- Deliver high quality customer services to patients and visitors and supporting the entire dental team
- Provide reception duties and greet patients face to face on their arrival.
- Organise the day list and prepare dental records to run efficient dental services
- Undertake specific administrative roles as and when directed by the Dentist and Dental Nurse team leader to support the day to day running of the clinics
- Implement service initiatives/developments to ensure compliance with regulatory standards including, but not limited to, CQC, Dental Practice Inspections, Standard Operating Procedures, Health & Safety Risk Assessment etc.
You will need to be able to demonstrate the ability to work independently, proactively and under pressure.
