Customer Service & Clinical Assistant Job Description SUMMARY OF THE ROLE Join our team in Worcester as an Optical Advisor or Clinical Assistant, and you’ll discover why at Specsavers, we pride ourselves on providing the foundation for exciting, long-term careers. You’ll make sure every customer gets a great experience when they come into our store. It means listening to what they want, explaining our offers and products and dealing with general optical duties. You’ll work to NHS guidelines (as well as our own high standards), give good, clear advice and make a positive impression, thanks to your polite and professional approach. The Optical Advisor role is varied, where duties can range from (but are not limited to) dispensing glasses, booking appointments, repairs, ordering, clinical assistance (“pre-screening”) and teaching patients to handle contact lenses. Our Audiology service is also growing quickly. We’ll help you to develop and expand your knowledge of vision problems, eye-care and our products. If you’re already a natural when it comes to customer care, articulate, good with people, have an organised approach and are always happy to help, you’ll fit right in as a valuable member of our friendly store team. Dedicated Clinical Assistants tend to specialise more with carrying out diagnostic tests (including OCT scans) to support our optometrists & keep the clinics running on time in this fast paced environment. We are looking for happy, professional, enthusiastic people, no previous optical experience necessary. The store is open seven days a week, and we aim to keep shift patterns fair for everyone so expect some weekend work.
