Are you a pharmacist looking for new challenges?
We are looking for a self-motivated and enthusiastic registered pharmacist to join our friendly pharmacy team. This post is full time, 37.5 hours over five days, Monday to Friday. You will be part of the Norwich and West Norfolk Clinical Pharmacy team based at Hellesdon hospital in Norwich.
Your main role will be to work with the multidisciplinary team to provide a clinical pharmacy service to the in-patient wards and Crisis teams. You must be registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council and trainee pharmacists may apply for this job. Newly registered pharmacists will initially be employed as a band 6.Good communication, problem solving, prioritisation and organisational skills are essential. Previous experience in the mental health setting is not essential as support and training in Psychiatric pharmacy will be available.
The post holder will provide pharmaceutical care for service users and carers in a clinical setting by
- Answering basic medicine information queries
- Clinically checking prescriptions
- Patient counselling at ward level (individual/group)

This is a one off payment with half paid on appointment and half paid after the completion of a satisfactory probation period (6 months). The premium is taxable.
