We are looking for an enthusiastic and highly motivated pharmacist to lead our clinical team and provide pharmaceutical care to our 2 secure units:
The John Howard Centre forms part of the Trust’s Forensic Services. It provides Medium Secure services including a Personality Disorder service.
The Wolfson House is a low secure rehabilitation unit
ELFT provide the pharmacy services under Service Level Agreement. This comprises the onsite clinical pharmacy team with medicine supply co-ordinated via our main dispensary in Mile End Hospital and support from other associated pharmacy services
You will introduce a new model of pharmaceutical care and develop and implement the new vision for this service. You will be a key member of the multidisciplinary team, providing frontline clinical care to patients. Your role as a clinical lead pharmacist will be interesting and varied. Patients often have co-morbid mental illness and chronic physical health conditions, with lots of opportunity to provide excellent pharmaceutical care and improve patients quality of life.
You will work alongside the City and Hackney Mental Health Pharmacy team and have established working relationships with all other members of the multidisciplinary team, who have a real appreciation of the key role we play in ensuring safe and appropriate use of medicines.

Candidates must have a Master of Pharmacy Degree or equivalent, be registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC) and should have a relevant postgraduate qualification. You will have relevant experience of pharmacy practice and excellent communication, interpersonal and IT skills. Candidates will ideally have experience of working within a medicines governance structure and demonstrate service evaluation skills.
