The Role

Here at Shaw Vets, we are looking for a Clinical Director to join our team. If you are looking for the next step in your career and the opportunity to help develop others then this role could be for you. As a senior member of the team, you will be required to carry out veterinary duties, supporting the clinical team and working closely with the Practice Manager. The rota will include working 4 days a week between the hours of 8:30am-6:30pm Monday to Friday. There will be 1 in 4 weekends (Saturday morning only) with no out of hours. The salary will be up to £72,000 depending on experience.

Shaw Vets put Animal Welfare at the heart of everything we do, seeking to provide the highest level of care to all our clients and patients. Shaw Vets are a thriving single site small animal practice on the edge of Swindon. Ran independently for 25 years prior to becoming part of the IVC Evidensia Group, we have many bonded clients, and many members of staff who have been here for one and even two decades. We are minutes from M4 J16, with parks close by and a nice mix of town and countryside-based clients. The practice is well equipped including digital X-ray, dental X-ray, ultrasonography, and much more. Currently, we have 4 Veterinary Surgeons, 6 Registered Veterinary Nurses, and 5 Support Team members. Supporting pet behavior is particularly important to the practice, with our Nurses undertaking the COAPE qualification, frequent use of fear-free handling techniques and currently renewing our Cat-Friendly ISFM status. Staff support and wellbeing is at the forefront of our ethos. We actively monitor workload to achieve a good work life balance for all our staff.

Applicant Requirements

We’re looking for an experienced Veterinary Surgeon with an interest in management, to take a lead role within the practice. To be successful in this role you will be a team player, who has a great work ethic and shares our passion for delivering patient and client care of the highest standard.
