The post holder will be responsible for delivering and supporting the specialist, senior and principal pharmacists develop a high quality pharmacy service across technical services. The candidate will work closely with the senior pharmacists and the chief technicians in assisting and organising the day to day running of the manufacturing unit including final checking and releasing of terminally sterilised and aseptic products, cytotoxics, and non-sterile products. When required the post holder will be required to support the Barnet aseptic unit. In order to do this, he/she will work closely with the rotational pharmacists, Senior Technicians and other junior staff working within the Pharmacy Manufacturing Unit and the nurses on wards/clinics.Working for our organisation

Education
Essential criteria
- Masters degree in Pharmacy (MPharm)
- Registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC)
- Mandatory CPD to maintain fitness to practice

Experience
Essential criteria
- Relevant and proven hospital pharmacy manufacturing experience or relevant experience in a commercial production unit.
- Completion of pre-registration training year
Desirable criteria
- Experience of working in Pharmacy Manufacturing Unit would be an advantage
- Experience of working in a hospital environment in either preregistration year or post-registration.
Knowledge
Essential criteria
- General knowledge of Pharmacy Manufacturing Units.
- Understanding of the role of the MHRA and legislations governing Pharmacy Manufacturing Units
- Understanding of Good Manufacturing Practice

- Computer literate including ability to use email, Internet, and competent use of Microsoft Office applications; Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
