Job Title: Audiologist Grade: Band 5 Ward/Dept: Hearing & Balance – Audiology Trust: Berkshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust Location: King Edward VII Hospital, SL4 3DP Hours: Full time – 37.5 hours per week, Mon-Fri 08:00-16:00 Pay rate: Day £16.44 Are you an experienced and registered Audiologist? Do you have an all-round knowledge of hospital procedures? Are you available to start immediately in a new role? NHS Professionals have an exciting opportunity for a registered Audiologist to support our client trust. You will be responsible for accurately and safely providing necessary care to patients engaging with the service in the Trust. You will maintain key relationships with co-workers and other health care professionals across the Trust to ensure an effective service. Berkshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust have an urgent requirement for an Audiologist, to support the Audiology Department. You will be predominantly based at King Edward VII Hospital in Windsor but there may be a requirement to travel to other sites. RESPONSIBLE FOR: Work unsupervised whilst performing all standard hearing tests for both adults and children ( >3 years of age) following professional standards and protocols. Assist senior Audiologists in performing advanced audiological procedures, including performing physical examination of the ear and inspection of the ear canal and eardrum using an otoscope. Recognising referable ear conditions using clinical judgement and procedural guidelines. Taking specialised and accurate ear impression by syringing dedicated earmould material into the ear canal in accordance with procedural guidelines. To be successful in applying for this role you will need: HCPC Registered; Hospital experience is desirable although recent Graduates may apply. Driving Licence preferable as you may need to travel to other sites. Knowledge of Audibase is necessary; flexibility on job Band.
