This role provides an excellent opportunity for a new or recently qualified Audiologist to broaden their skills in a friendly and forward-thinking department or for a qualified audiologist wanting to gain further quality experience in a highly supportive team. The post holder will be able to attend off-site seminars and programmes to advance their skills and knowledge. The successful candidates will assist with the development of the service to ensure the most up to date evidence-based practice is followed and receive the exciting opportunity to take part in additional training in specialist areas of paediatrics, tinnitus and vestibular assessments. The position also allows fully independent and autonomous working with the opportunity to attend outreach clinics as part of the role. In order to strengthen our team, we are looking for a well motivated band 5 Audiologists that will work as part of a team involved with a varied caseload. Work as an independent practitioner, following departmental guidelines and providing clinical services and effectiverehabilitationdirectly to patients. Our current team includes Audiologists, Clinical Scientists, Assosciate and Assistant Audiologists along with administration support to work across both our acute and community sites. We work closely with Teachers of the Deaf, Speech and Language Therapists, ENT and the local CCGs. Service We will put our patients first Teamwork We will work together Ambition We will aspire to provide the best service Respect We will act with integrity We have been accredited by UKAS against the Improving Quality in Physiological diagnostic Services (IQIPS) standards and we provide a comprehensive diagnostic and rehabilitation service for both adults and children which includes tinnitus and vestibular management. To meet these challenges, you will bring your computer skills (knowledge of PCs & MS windows), interpersonal and team leadership skills and your ability to manage your time and workload. The department is completely IT orientated using the ‘AuditBase’ patient management database. It is necessary for the candidate to hold a BSc in Audiology or equivalent and is AHCS/HCPC/RCCP registered.
