Full Job Description

Assistant Practice Manager We are looking for an enthusiastic and well-motivated Assistant Practice Manager to work alongside the manager and/or independently to oversee the daily running and development of our outstanding dental practice. You must be well-experienced within a management role, with a hands-on approach. Duties will include:
  • Assist with the smooth day-to-day running of the operational side of the area/practice.
  • Come up with innovative solutions to ensure maximum capacity.
  • Measure financial performance and KPIs understand any variation.
  • Ensuring good communication is maintained between dental professionals, support staff and the patients at all times.
  • Administration and bookkeeping duties within the clinic (Xero software experience is preferred)
  • Ensuring all legal and health and safety requirements are adhered to including CQC compliance.
  • Meeting and greeting patients in a friendly manner and discussing any issues or concerns that they may have.
  • Overseeing the ordering of dental stock and other products and supplies when required.
  • Assisting the customer care team with the planning and scheduling of appointments, implementation of treatment plans and keeping patient records up to date.
Skills the successful applicant will require:
  • At least 1 years’ experience within a management role.
  • Good general knowledge of CQC compliance.
  • Good IT skills, with knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Proven ability to manage; management experience of multiple clinic locations would
be considered an advantage.
  • Attention to detail – essential when working in a busy dental surgery.
  • Highly organised – essential for the effective management of a busy dental clinic.
  • Problem Solving – ability to deal with all problems that arise in the practice in a calm and professional manner.
  • Must be comfortable working at a fast pace in our ever-changing industry.
  • Willing to learn new skills.
  • Fantastic customer service skills essential.
