Assistant Manager

This is a full time position working within a well established 3 test room practice in the Cannock Chase area. This practice is now on the hunt for an Assistant Manager due to the growth of the store. This client is a franchisee for one of the most succesful and most recognised optical groups within the UK. As the Assistant Manager in this practice you will be the Practice Manager’s right hand and a valuable member of the team.

Responsibilities of the Assistant Manager

Experience in managerial positions is not essential but a desire to progress your optical career further is.
You will be managing the day to day operation with emphasis on the business side, staff training and monitoring KPIs and targets as well as ensuring all staffing requirements are met.
Your day will be split between management and dispensing with a ‘lead by example’ mentality.
You will take control of performance levels of the team by way of assessing their abilities and addressing their needs for development and participating in appraisals.

Requirements of the Assistant Manager

You will have:
” Present or previous experience in working in a small to medium size team in a busy testing practice
” Strong experience as an Optical Assistant with the ability to dispense to all levels
” A good understanding of KPIs and managing goals and targets – commercially aware/business mindset
” Desire to progress and develop further as the store grows.

Compensation for the Assistant Manager

For this role my client is offering a competitive salary of £20,00 to £24,000 dependent on experience with a competitive overall package but more importantly you will be joining a group who have your future interests and aspirations at heart.
