A band new store in Bournemouth is looking for an Assistant Manager an experienced supervisor to manage a team of Optical Assistants. If your looking to progress down the management path then this is the perfect role for you.

Assistant Manager Position

A very exciting opportunity has become available for a customer-focused Assistant Manager to join a brand new practice in Bournemouth. They are looking for someone who can hit the ground running and has lots of ideas to build the practice. You must be prepared to go above and beyond for both patients and colleagues and have a real passion for optics with a bubbly and exciting personality.

Responsibilities of the Assistant Manager

The role will entail dispensing spectacles to all levels, conducting pre-screen tests and contact lens teaches. You will also be required to carry out frame styling and give patients advice on their options. More importantly, you will guide your team to be the best they can be, working with a team of four-six experienced Optical Assistants, you will be on hand to support and motivate the team towards targets and KPI’s. Ideally, you will have previous supervisory or team leader experience and be confident to troubleshoot any problems on the shop floor.

Requirements of the Assistant Manager

My client is looking for applicants with previous optical experience with previous Supervisory/ Assistant Managerial experience and the ability to dispense glasses to all levels. You will have a friendly and personable demeanour with a strong personal work ethic. It’s essential you have a customer-focused approach to your work and the ability to build a strong rapport with customers and colleagues alike.

Compensation for the Assistant Manager

For your efforts, a competitive salary of £25,000 is on offer + bonus and store discounts. You will need to be flexible to work weekends and late nights. You will also have the opportunity to receive some further training and join a professional team in a fun and relaxed environment.
