Full Job Description

We’re looking to recruit an optical assistant manager for our independent Optician’s based in Skewen. We need a candidate who is competent in all aspects of an optical assistant role with a focus on improving patient care and experience. You will also need to lead the team on a day-to-day basis, be passionate about enhancing performance and developing individual achievements. You will be supported by the business owner and director and will be managing a team of around 6 members of staff. Essential criteria: Knowledge of dispensing Competent IT skills including use of Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Microsoft Word and Microsoft Access Excellent customer service face to face and via telephone Good numeracy and literacy skills Ability to adapt quickly and maintain a professional but approachable manner Adhere to strict confidentiality rules with regards to patient information. Enthusiastic, commercially aware but always patient focused. Preferred criteria: Previous experience of managing other staff members Book-keeping experience Rota management Experience of dealing with reps for ordering purposes Previous glazing experience Salary dependent on experience Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent Salary: £21,000.00-£23,000.00 per year Schedule:
