Salisbury District Hospital Audiology has an exciting opportunity to recruit an enthusiastic assistant audiologist to work in our small, tight-knit and friendly department. The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills and be able to work independently but also as part of wider team providing exceptional patient care for a wide range of patients. This is the ideal opportunity, whether you are just starting your path in Audiology or looking for a career change, we would be interested in hearing from you. To assist with both adult and paediatric rehabilitation clinics – independently running hearing aid repair clinics, triaging and diagnosing common faults with hearing aids and providing a professional, patient centred service to service users. The successful candidate will also be required to manage their own stock levels (hearing aids, consumables etc) by making stock requests and signing stock off when this has arrived. There will also be opportunities to assist in paediatric audiology, if the candidate shows an aptitude for paediatric work. Duties range from assisting the paediatric audiologists in the testing and rehabilitation of children with hearing impairment. Note we will provide training to facilitate this and ensure that you are comfortable doing these clinics prior to independent work.
