Full Job Description

We have an exciting opportunity for an Optical Apprentice in this brand new eye practice. This is a health care environment and you’ll be working with friendly staff and have full job training provided to become a level 3 Optical assistant. The role will suit someone who would like to provide excellent care and support in a varied role with activities ranging from-
  • Welcoming patients,
  • Booking appointments,
  • Taking phone calls,
  • Pre screening patients,
  • Assisting patients with choosing eyeglasses and dispense,
  • Some admin tasks,
  • and assisting in the smooth running of the daily clinics.
Don’t fret as you’ll be working with the help and supervision of our senior staff, and training will be provided. We require someone who is : Friendly, enthusiastic, good communication skills, caring and professional, enjoys working with the public, good team player, reliable, pays attention to detail, eager to learn, competent with mainstream computer programmes: word, Excel, Outlook, etc Benefits for you

Other requirements:
  • Recent school/college leavers
  • Individuals with GCSE Maths and English at Grade 9-4 (A-C) or equivalent level qualification.
  • Right to work in the UK.
