An exciting opportunity has arisen for an innovative and inspirational pharmacist to join our expanding pharmacy team. We are looking for a dedicated pharmacist that will provide clinical expertise and leadership within the pharmacy service to ensure a high level of pharmaceutical input and delivery of high quality antimicrobial stewardship service across the Trust. In post you will be an integral part of the MDT, promoting antimicrobial stewardship to a complex cohort of patients and play a vital role in the training of pharmacy, medical and nursing staff on antimicrobials use within the field. The post holder will have significant clinical experience and strong interpersonal skills and ideally with specialist level antimicrobial stewardship work experience. The post holder must have an independent prescribing qualification or willing to work towards. Provide an expert level of antimicrobial stewardship service across The Dudley Group NHS Foundation Trust (DGH). Lead antimicrobial stewardship service and be responsible for the delivery, development, review and co-ordination of a high quality patient focused antimicrobial stewardship services in line with standards defined by national antimicrobial resistance action plan, divisional objectives and the DGH Pharmacy/Trust Strategy. Support the development and implementation of the Antimicrobial stewardship strategy across the Trust. Develops, in conjunction with the Principal pharmacist – Antimicrobial Therapy and the Consultant Microbiologists, health economy wide initiatives, guidelines and policies on the use of existing and new anti-infective agents At the Dudley Group our patients and staff are at the heart of all that we do and that is to provide a world class service that aligns with our vision of providing safe, caring and effective services because people matter.
