Advanced Pharmacist Mental Health – West Sector 0.6wte Are you looking for a new challenge? Due to a service re-design we have the opportunity for an experienced pharmacist to join our clinical team in the West Sector. This is a new post with a focus on the 4 pillars of advanced practice, with opportunity to develop in areas of clinical practice (on this site and potentially across others), leadership and management skills, contribute to the research agenda and have dedicated time to develop yourself and others within your team. The post will have a clinical and leadership commitment to the intensive psychiatric care team. The West sector team is a small but growing team involved with 2 projects looking at developing working within the community mental health teams. The inpatient service has adult/older adult and learning disability beds. There are a range of staff grades from PSW to 8a pharmacist on the site and their own dispensary. We are in the midst of a transformational change which will see changes in ways of working which will fit well with the new frameworks for career development. Mental health pharmacy is benefiting from additional funding for the Scottish Government and there has never been such an innovative and exciting time to join the service. Candidates should have significant mental health experience. A postgraduate qualification in clinical pharmacy or equivalent is essential and we would expect candidates to have or be working towards independent prescriber status. Previous leadership experience would be beneficial. Some travel between sites in the West is expected. Mental health pharmacy has an on-call service which the post-holder will be expected to participate in. NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde encourages applications from all sections of the community.
