We are seeking a self-motivated and engaging pharmacist to join our small, but friendly pharmacy department. This is an excellent opportunity to further develop your leadership, clinical and directorate skills as an pharmacist.
You will be contributing to new models of working and leading on projects and audits to ensure the delivery of high quality care. It is a well-established, highly respected post within the Trust.

As well as the lead for antimicrobials, you will be the Directorate Pharmacist for Ophthalmology and manage the band 7 dispensary and ophthalmology pharmacist. In conjunction with the other Senior Pharmacists you will be expected to deputise for the Chief Pharmacist is their absence. As with other posts in a small department, the post holder’s responsibilities are wide-ranging giving you the opportunity to undertake projects outside of the above specialities. Time will be given to fulfil expected responsibilities.
You will have exposure to all the specialisms and will be looked to for promoting safe, cost-effective prescribing, medicines management and optimisation. You will not be expected to have experience of the specialisms covered by the Trust, but must have good broad clinical pharmacy knowledge and skills. Experience in the antimicrobial specialty is desirable, to allow for the development of a strong candidate with appropriate transferable skills.
