Pre-reg Optometrist Nailsea Full time   This vacancy is only applicable if you meet the criteria below:
  • You are studying an Optometry degree at a UK University and are due to graduate in 2023 (or)
  • You have graduated and achieved a degree in Optometry from a UK University
  Role overview   A pre-registration optometrist delivers eye examinations, dispenses spectacles, contact lens services and may be involved in triage processes to a consistently high clinical and customer focused standard, which in turn drives sales, profit and customer loyalty.   Under the guidance of a registered supervisor, trainees should take responsibility for their own personal training and development as required by the College of Optometrists’ Scheme for Registration.   Our passion is to deliver outstanding patient care, meet all the patients eye health needs, alongside delivering sound dispensing advice and product recommendations that best suit individual customer needs. In addition to the highest quality equipment, we aim to provide both our teams and our customers with an excellent overall environment and all our teams have training offerings to help support this.   Our passion for developing the next generation of optometrists and developing the profession means that you will have access to support and training through our Pre reg Academy (PRA). This offers you a number of interactive courses throughout your pre-registration period to give you guidance and learning around your Scheme for Registration so that you can develop the skills and application of your knowledge to be more successful during this time period. These courses are designed and run by our own team of presenters and facilitators, many of whom are college assessors and examiners, so they have the skills and experience to help support you.   Your Objectives:
  • Maintain professionalism at all times, with a positive work ethic and attitude
  • Provide exceptional patient care and customer service
  • Observe regulatory guidelines regarding clinical delivery at all times and ensure you follow any current updated guidance.
  • Good communication and interaction with store team
  • Show mentorship skills in order to help advance the team you work within
  • Meet and exceed all personal and team goals
