Full Job Description
What the role involves
Opportunity to work part time, three days a week
Tuesday 08:00 – 17.45, Thursday 08:00 – 18.00 and Friday 08:00 – 17.30

ESSENTIAL: Customer Service experience

Welcome all patients arriving at the practice with a smile
-
Answer the telephone in the prescribed manner
- Keep patients informed of any delays
- Liaise with patients and to organise appointments over the telephone and in person
- Establish and maintain productive working relationships with all members of the dental team
- Schedule patient appointments in accordance with the practice policies and keep records of all appointments
- Remind patients of their appointments as required
- Manage patient recalls
- Assist patients in completing their details prior to attending each appointment
- Monitor and respond to patient emails and enquiries
- Collect and record patient payments
- Ensure that patient records are recorded on the Exact Software of Excellence software system and that any hard copies are filed accurately and secure manner
- Liaise with dental laboratories, supply companies and other organisations as required
- Keep the reception area and waiting rooms clean and tidy
- Undergo training as may be required to develop your skills and abilities
- Attend staff meetings
- Attend refresher and update training for medical emergencies and CPR
- Have the flexibility to assist with to cover staff shortages, holidays and sickness
- Liaise with the Practice Manager on all matters concerning administration, pay and service conditions
- Take reasonable care for your own health and safety and that of others who may be affected by your acts or omissions at work
- Deal in an appropriate and prompt manner with patient feedback and inform the practice manager about patient comments and complaints
- Manage the sales of dental sundries to patients and ensure patients are provided with the opportunity to buy sundries when they leave the practice
- Other duties as necessary for the efficient operation of the practic
