Full Job Description
We have a fantastic opportunity for our front of house receptionist role! We are looking for an enthusiastic, caring and motivated person to join our team at Shirley Dental Practice.
This is an incredibly rewarding role as you will be the ‘face of the practice’ and be the first point of call for all our patients.
Candidates MUST have superb conversational skills and just enjoy talking to patients and helping them out with queries. Exceptional phone, organisational and written skills is also an absolute must.
Dental experience is desirable but not essential as training can be provided.
Key skills required:
– Providing excellent patient care at every stage of the process
– Ensuring all patients have an outstanding experience at every visit and each point of contact
– Excellent communication skills (written and spoken)
– Dentally software experience is desirable but not essential
– Good computer skills
– Awareness of Patient Confidentiality and Data Protection for handing sensitive information

What your role will include:
· Meeting and greeting patients, providing a great first impression
· Booking in appointments, answering the telephone, taking payments and dealing with any patients or dentist queries, responding to emails, scanning and attaching files to software, sending out referral letters, cashing up at the end of the day
· Supporting the Practice Owners, Clinicians and Dental Nurses with the smooth running of the practice
· Working as part of a team to execute a first-class service
· Carrying out specific administrative duties to ensure the effective running of the practice
Pay:
Based on qualifications and experience
Hours:
Tuesday, Thursday and Friday, approx. 8am to 6pm, extended hours into evening if required

Experience:
- Customer Service: 3 years (Required)
- Dental receptionist: 1 year (Preferred)
- GDC registered (Preferred)
- A-Level or equivalent (Preferred)
