About Us
For over 70 years, we have been Eastbourne’s largest veterinary practice, employing 10 vets and 20 veterinary nurses. We are RCVS accredited, and our long-standing team are very passionate about our patients care. Continuity is something our clients appreciate, along with a quality service. We have separate dog, cat, rabbit, and isolation wards as well as having a partnership with VetsNow, who run an out of hours emergency service from our main surgery at St. Anne’s Road.
We have an interesting caseload and work to a very high clinical standard with the aid of some fantastic equipment! Being located in Eastbourne, provides an opportunity for great lifestyle situated at the edge of the South Downs and by the beach so ideal for swimmers, paddle boarders and rowers! We are also close to Brighton and within easy reach of London.
Roles and responsibilities
Are you looking to be part of a practice that promotes good work-life balance?
This is a first opinion, small animal role, where case continuity is encouraged. You will be working with a large clinical team with a supportive environment to discuss cases and work-ups – plus weekly vets meetings with lunch.
We are well equipped with video gastroscopy/bronchoscopy, dental radiography, tonopen, slit lamp, Mutiparameter monitors, blood gas analysis, EPOC and coagulation testing available in-house, plus all the usual toys. Peripatetic clinicians available for advanced scanning and endoscopy as well as on-site orthopaedic referral specialist.
We are a Vets Now host practice, therefore, there is no OOH and excellent overnight inpatient care. We have an exceptional nurse team who support out vet team fully with case management.
Package and rota
- Competitive salary package £35,000 to £55,000 depending on experience
- Full-time and part-time applications considered
- 4 day working week 2 Saturdays and 1 Sunday in 8 weekend rota (3 day week following a working weekend and weekends are shorter days and half day Sunday)
