THE POSITION
Are you looking for a varied role that allows you to use your technical expertise in a commercial setting? With recent launches of truly innovative products, this is an exciting time to join the Equine team.
As a veterinary surgeon experienced in equine practice, the Veterinary Adviser is central in providing technical support and expertise to internal and external customers. Reporting to the Technical Services Manager and working closely with the sales and marketing teams, you will share your technical knowledge and develop strong customer relationships to ensure the continued success of our equine products.
You’ll be a skilled, confident communicator who enjoys building relationships within a diverse team, and who gains satisfaction from sharing their expert knowledge with others and supporting colleagues to deliver commercial objectives. Experience in equine veterinary practice is expected, with an interest in performance horses and prior experience of working within the pharmaceutical industry preferred, but not essential, as full training and support will be given.
This is a full-time position and will be field-based covering the south of UK. The ideal candidate would be based in this territory and must be happy to travel on a frequent basis.
Tasks & Responsibilities
To actively support the UK and Ireland Animal Health business to meet its objectives:
- Technical advisory support on all aspects of the use, efficacy and safety of equine products.
- Work in partnership with brand teams to deliver technical insights and add value to development of marketing materials.
- Ensure marketing and sales activities comply with pharmacogivilance, regulatory requirements, and the NOAH/APHA Codes of Practice.
- Develop and maintain relationships with key external experts.
- Technical training of internal and external customers.
- Technical support to sales team and customers through field visits.
- Veterinary degree
- Previous experience in equine practice
